Why not independent motor with its own speed controller, it's totaly stupid to use hand drill for that kind of machine. Buy some DC motor, assemble small pcb with LM317 and some 2N3055, and you can get even better result. And then you can sold it as standalone machine.

Looks okay, but for it to save me any time I'd have to give up a good drill forever since setup takes ~ 2min. not worth it
