  • How much did you spend in euros? Nice work by the way!

  • @benho278

Thanks for your compliment, a difficult question but I think : materials( wood, paint, epoxy, glasfibre, mahogany, waterpump, toilet, hose, electrical wiring and materials, rost free bolts/screws, paint, airscoop, sikaflex/glue, fabric, motorparts....etc.etc.) about 2500,- Euro. painting the Hull while grinding and preparation by my self 2200,- Euro. seccond/dubbel rudder 1500,- Euro. and then forgetting te rest so.......6200,- Euro I think I bought my vega twice, but she's realy NEW

  • Nice work! Im thinking of buying a vega but have not seen the boat yet and would like to know how "high" the cabin is..is it possible to stand up straight inside..?Im 186cm..

  • @MIRCWOOD

    Thank you for your compliments.

Te hight in the cabin is +/- 1,72 mtr, Also consider the length of the beds. in the bow it wil be +/- 1.95 mtr ( my vega) the left side 1,9 mtr. In the cabin even some cm smaller !!!

For the rest, a beautifull perfect sailingship , it behaves under sail verry nice , inclined : relext. -/- the position of the rudder makes it hard to maneuver with verry slow speed.

    for the rest ,enjoy sailing

  • Great work on your vega. Mine is waiting to get the same treatment in spring 2009. Enjoy your lovely boat, she looks beautiful.

  • @stumle : waiting for your renovation video of your Vega. ;) on you tube.

    Or send some pictures.

  • Enjoyed watching this video,,, It is great to see someone put such effort and dedication into something that will never bring a profit of money.

I wish you every joy and happyness with your boat.

    You did a beautifull job!

  • Lovely work, just completed something similarly myself...thanks for sharing

  • That is a beautiful video. Your work was obviously a labour of love. Congratulations on your fine work. Fair winds and full sails.

  • No job is complete unless the components have been washed in the bath, stored in the lounge and assembled on the kitchen table. Add a scalding from the wife and you know the job is a good one! Great project!

  • great work. good wind for you.

  • Lovely job. I wish I had the skill to tackle that kind of work on my Trintella 1a. They're similar looking boats, and I'm sure she could look much prettier.
