The problem with marathoners is that they eat lots of carbs and not enough protein. And most of their training is running with a couple of body weight exercises here and there...But look at Kara Goucher she as a strong and wonderful physique ans she runs marathon .....So it's possible to train / run marathons AND stil have a strong physique. It depends on your training and nutrititon.
