Kristine and I went to the McCain-Palin rally today (woohoo!) and here Gov. Palin talks up America gaining energy independence from the Middle East! Yay!

Uh, if your democrat buddies had all voted for it, they wouldn't have needed a single republican vote... that's generally what being the majority means. Better yet, if your democrat buddies had listened to McCain and not Barney Frank years ago, you wouldn't have even needed the votes to begin with. I think I'll take my chances with the man and woman who actually have a plan and not just a finger to point the blame.

The government's investment in the TARP bailout actually earned more money than if it had put it in Treasury bonds, a recent report found, to the tune of 8.2 percent. Thank you President Bush for doing the right thing and doing the bailout.

This is the only "global" view I have now: there's more than one issue to consider. My responsibility, as an AMERICAN RESIDENT, is to pick who who will do what is right for AMERICA--not what's popular to other countries.

I can't see any point in "debating" this. I'm glad you can't vote in our election. Don't you have something better to do with your time than argue another country's politics with women half your age?

Steeny, It does matter to us as we have been dragged into war due to lies from your president and face an disaster in economies.

Our government (as many more in Europe yesterday) had to bail out banks also. We need to pay for that, but at least we, France, Swiss, German, Belgium, Luxembourg people understand that this is needed to save our own homes and jobs and most of all the economy.

The difference is that our governments explained it better to us which your government did not.
