  • Respond to this video... is greed, desire and lust "evil".

  • This one has one out of my top three in 2009, Thanks Mr.

  • i dont belive in evil the the human heart..

i belive evil only truely exists in systems.

and that it is societys responsabilaty to remake those systems.

humans can suffer varying defres of mental instabilaty.

  • Evil can happen with the absence of action in the sense that it is allowed to happen, just as if it were actively pursued. Bush himself is not evil incarnate, but his actions, or lack thereof, can be considered evil- especially by greatbroads' definition. People died for no other reason but because he was president. Think Katrina, FDA, abstinence only, coal mine standards deregulated, Iraq and 9/11- so much more. By my own standards, not making him accountable would be evil as well.

  • Just as " e-v-i-l " is " l-i-v-e " backwards,

my sense is, "an intention, thought or deed which ceases to support life."

  • Great segment. Dr. Michael Stone's interview introduced some very interesting concepts.

I shy away from using a term like evil because of its religious connotations. I'd prefer to think of these actions as crimes and the perps as criminals. Evil seems to move the actions and people into a other worldly place where everything gets fuzzy, IMO.
