This is part of the 2011-12 School Educational Outreach program sponsored by The Rochester Broadway Theater League (RBTL) in Rochester, New York.

Classroom teachers will attend a cartooning and caricature workshop led by internationally noted cartoonist and caricaturist David Boyer (aka: "Bippy" as know by other caricaturists). These videos will prepare teachers to show Bippy's caricature techniques to their students. Each student will draw a caricature of themselves, change it slightly to "SHREK-ize" it, and add, "I Am Who I Am," with their name on the drawing to accept themselves. And treat each other with affirmation and respect. Boyer realizes this is a tall order. Most people think they can't draw at all. But with Bippy's positive, natural and fun drawing techniques, and help from everyone, maybe more people will decide to rediscover drawing and cartooning.

  • Hi Subway Surfer and friend for sure, All that I said was true. And sometimes worth mentioning. Understatement can sometimes hurt by not showing the better value of someone's service, products or experience. I have met Mort D. many times. AND YOU AS WELL!! I don't want people to think caricaturists or cartoonists are "cracked" or don't take their funny work seriously. Whether it be drawing caricatures or teaching, I do want to make an assuring point of view based on experience since 1989.

  • Thanks for leaving a comment. All the characters are very cool. I'm editing Part 2 and will upload it soon. Take care.

  • Even though I'm an artist myself, I always get a kick out of seeing another artist draw! LOL the picture literally seems to just "appear" like "magic" as if it's coming out of the pen, instead of the artist drawing it.

  • Love the tie! Nice flow in your teaching style, and great subtle name dropping of Drucker, and also establishing yourself as an internationally known and traveled artist.
