Chicago has always had a love affair with steakhouse restaurants.
Judging by the additional locations for Chicago mainstays like Gibsons (Chicago, Rosemont), Harry Carays (Chicago, Rosemont, Lombard) and Mortons (Chicago/2, Naperville, Rosemont, Northbrook, Schaumburg, Westchester) it is continuing. But is it coming at the expense of personal attention and service?
During this period of steakhouse expansion, the independent Keefers is becoming the rare exception by focusing all their attention to customers at one location.
"You won't find Harry Caray at Harry Caray's?"
Obnoxious, insensitive and appalling. I will never set foot in your restaurant.
