In the 1980's Oklahoma played Army, the Cadets lost to the Sooners. Barry Switzer said to Jim Young, "You do not have an Army player who can make the Sooner scrub team."  Young replied, And you Sir, Do not have one student in the University of Oklahoma, that could be a Cadet at the United States Military Academy."

Army & Oklahoma did not play football against each other in the 1980's. The comment by RM4FSWWII appears to be an attempt to belittle OU students.

@mikeymacaque As long as you speak of Michie Stadium and the atmosphere of West Point during the football season, I can recall that back in the late nineties, Sports Illustrated ranked Michie Stadium as one of their "20 Favorite Venues".

I would really love to take in a game featuring the Black Knights of the Hudson at Michie some day - just to experience a noble and proud side playing the pure sport of American football. Thank you.

I really recommend it. I lived 45 minutes away from West Point and my dad had season tickets. Seriously a cool experience. You feel like you're transported back to the 1700s with the scenery and all. I wish Army would surprise everybody one year and win a competitive bowl game. Not a National Title, but it'd be nice to see them pull off a win in the Cotton Bowl or something like it. The option is still my favorite style of offense to watch.
