  • The WORST thing any tie dye instruction videos can do is to show you adding dye to a shirt and then showing a totally different shirt as the finished product!! Even I, as a beginner, know that NO 2 shirts are going to be alike so I want to see the one I spent time watching you adding dye to so I can see how that came out, not one "similar" to it. A big waste of time if you ask me because you do beautiful work!!!

  • @cardsbytootsie

    Sorry about that one.

The design is still the same idea, just not exact colour.

I suppose, even what you see here is not what you will duplicate when attempting... so the idea of the vid is to show how to get that particular design, not the exact match. True words though...

Happy dying! (and thanks for watching).

  • what kind of dye do you use?and does the shirt have to be wet at the beggining or could it be dry?? thanks for the tutorial anyway!

  • @jackrapper555

These are Procion MX dyes - great for cotton. Other dyes like RIT or Dylon are ok, but not nearly as bright.

The material is damp - like spin dry in the wash machine.

  • so after u wash it u dry it in the dryer machine thingy or do u hang it up to dry????

  • @tayaroxsox1998

I usually hang mine after the first wash only. After that I use the dryer.

I suppose the better you treat the shirt, the longer it will last...
