Yeah, most of the bouts I see on TV are pretty slow. This was pretty typical.
I've only been to a couple of Muay Thai events, and that is probably the smallest ring I've seen. And in one of the events I was inside a studio.

in fairness in thai boxing in thailand the 1st round is always very slow they try and figure out their opponents timings.
and that ring is tiny
