The summer of 2009 has been unseasonably cool and rainy, which is good for wolf viewing. The wolves are more active in this type of weather. Staff and program participants have worked hard to complete a new concrete den in the retired pack, in preparation for a possible retirement of Malik and Shadow in the next year.
As usual, excellent filming making for superb watching. That howling sequence has made my day. Thanks for all your wonderful videos.

AWESOME video, as always. The wolves are beautiful. Denali is SO tall! I wonder how tall he is in inches. I love the clip of the pack howling. :) And the yearlings wrestling is so cute. It looks fun.... xD The new den in the Retired Enclosure is awesome! LOL I wish I could jump like Maya. :P Thanks for posting! ^O^

These monthly postings are always a highlight for me. The IWC does such an awesome job and these videos just prove it. So glad to see the wolves enjoying the retired enclosure. The pack interaction is facinating. Thanks again for all you do!

Malik continues to amaze me with his resilient personality!
He seems to have regained his confidence and , as always, is the most opportunistic wolf in the pack!
