Muslims' America -- Episode 2 part 1 -- The Muslim Pacifist - Break 2

The United States of America, one of the most diverse locations on this Earth. Here, you'll find people from all walks of life, culture, faith, race and tradition... all co-existing together as one society. Like there are many Christians, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists and followers of many other faith traditions living in the U.S, there are also many Muslims, in fact, according to the Council on American Islamic Relations, approximately 7 million of them.

Among them is Arsalan Iftikhar, an American Muslim human rights lawyer, magazine columnist, and public diplomat, trying to help bridge the divide between the Muslim world and the Western world. Besides this Arsalan Iftikhar is also the contributing editor for Islamica Magazine. Arsalan is talking about something totally different... he's talking about Islamic pacifism. He says he's trying to bring a new twist to pacifism, by using the power of logic as a tool for persuasion and his admirers like to call him, one of the first official Muslim pacifists.

Born and raised in Chicago and having extensive roots in Pakistan, Arsalan is the grandson of Pakistan's most prolific and intellectual writers and thought giants of all time ...Mr. Ashfaq Ahmed

Arsalan Iftikhar says that, his dedication in life is to ensure that, we as a global community and as a human race go down the path of peaceful co-existence. People who think that Muslims are different than any other human being or who subscribes to any sort of conspiracy theories, really does not have a good grasp of reality.

Arsalan says "There are 7 million American Muslims that are living in the United Sates today. We call America our home, we were born and raised here, I was born and raised in America, and I am an American Muslim".

As an American Muslim, Arsalan Iftikhar thinks "it's high time for Muslim public intellectuals and mainstream Muslim grass roots community around the world to help reclaim the true message of Islam".
