Tales of the Ocean (Part 27)

At last, Tales of the Ocean's twenty-seventh part has been uploaded onto YouTube! Best of all is the fact that the demo has just been finalised too, so you can expect it to be ready by tomorrow (as I need sleep at time of writing).

This video sheds some light on Marce and Miria's personality and their pasts and also features the longest boss battle yet, against Sema's party. As you can see, I toned down Ground Dasher and used it mostly to soften up the mages (Lani and Kapiru) because they can be real nuisances. Once they're out of the way I used single-target strikes on Hisham, Areck and Sema. Hisham resists earth and Sema is weak against it, if you're wondering.

Also, the end of the fight did not go as I had planned... Still, at least Marce got to use his Hi-Ougi, right? XD!

Oh yeah, and a special thanks goes to blacklisted for the Hi-Ougi Cut-In of Marce and for the music I played during his chat with Miria. You rock! ^_^!

I love the battle music. What's it from? Or is it original?

The battle music is called "Justice and an Edge" from the Tales of Destiny Remake. The song that plays a little before that in the battle introduction is "Disciple of Darkness" from Jade Cocoon 2. Both have been replaced with original music now though.

I wish i knew how to recolor =P, then i wouldn't have to use normal sprites..

Recolouring is pretty easy once you've got the hang of it actually. It's making customs that's difficult.

The game looks incredible! The only comment I would have is to make a sprite specifically for overlimit, such as a few white lines around the character like a aura since the view is Guage style. Otherwise, keep up the great work!
