Rationally speaking, there is a risk to walking out of the door and falling down the step, but I still do it every day. In our body we have cancer cells, but this doesn't mean I am going to go out and get chemo because I am afraid of the few cancer cells we all have in our body. We are more at risk from a chemical spill from a train derailment than a nuclear reactor failure.
you are speaking about risk.... but in actuality radiation is radiation and it shouldn't be used.... yes it has it's up side..but the health risks of all of the industries are made for greed not for need.....
Spraying DDT in 3rd world countries to combat malaria kills people to save people, quantitatively speaking. A statistician told me that one. There is no need for humans other than greed to be creating energy from dirty dangerous sources.
