you use the numbers like 1 2 3 etc. and if you get a combo of 1 -3 with 3 cards then you do more dmg and you can get another turn but thats random

The numbers are actually MORE important than the elements. They act as bonuses if used properly. There's a bonus for getting numbers in order and one for using multiple of the same number. The more cards you get in order, the better the bonus, and straights are better than same numbers. But you only get the bonus if you use only one type (1-2-3-4 gets you a bonus, 1-2-3-5 won't). The best you can do is 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9 or in reverse order.
