People with mental disabilities are asking the government to respect their rights as stipulated in the new constitution. Representatives of the Kenya society for the mentally handicapped made the appeal as the world marked the mental health day. Pamela Asigi now reports on how two boys with physical and mental disabilities are struggling to lead a normal life.

The govt should know we r not in the dark ages hope the new constituoin helps them they go beyond their mean even us as children used to have disabled children in class and we got on with them as we would with everyone else and why not only that we have an advantantage over them but they were our classmates,why do parents have to pay exorbitant fees to have their children in school just as a result of a disability.
