  • Hm... are downloads of these videos still available? I'd like to put them on my iPod to watch on the go, or so I don't have to restart FL Studio because my sound card shows as being used whenever another sound producing program is up. Another question though: Would a better sound card fix the multiple program sound issue? If so, what should I look for in one?

  • @Wingacrusade Downloads are not available atm. Try a YouTube Video download app or plugin though. - A new soundcard (external USB or internal PCI) - will fix the multitasking issue in one of two ways. The FL sound card can be the ASIO4ALL Device and the system can use the other soundcard - Your system can use more than one soundcard. A better option would be to get an ASIO soundcard and not even use ASIO4ALL though.

  • is this fl studio 9...I want to purchase the exact same version that you're teaching from...pls answer...thnx

  • @twittstar1 Use the latest version - this is an alpha version of FL Studio - so technically it's not even public. The current version of FL Studio will be compatible with these tutorials. The only significant difference occurs in video 4. "Split by channel", is now located on the Step sequencer menu, instead of in the Playlist menu. It would not be good to use an older version of FL Studio or any reason. FL Studio gets better with every new update.

  • @TheUltimateSimpan I did that - the problem with that is that I ended up with a bunch of small "boring" videos scattered all over the place and people missed out on a lot of them. I knew this was going to be long and boring - but I think it's best to hammer out the basics in a long video and be done with it. It was worse to have to endure it over lots of small videos, again too many people skipped small video and got lost in later tutorials too.

  • You're a natural teacher, man! Great work!!

  • @davidstegen not in the first six videos that are up - these videos cover essential skills - It's preparing everyone for composition tutorials. I' will be covering composition techniques and how to put those essential skills to use. I'm hoping to cover enough to give everyone the general skills to produce music in any.style or genre of choice - that would include a song like the intro here.

  • @davidstegen No joke though, serious.

  • Hey man, that intro song was intense. How much time did you put in on that song? Is there anyway these videos will teach me how to make something like that? lol

  • Half of my instruments in FL doesn't work, but WTF!

  • You know the program is complicated when even the expert says "I have no idea what this does".

  • Awesome vid thanks heaps! Also, are trigger notes saved anywhere? If i assign a note to a button on the keyboard. will it always remain there?
