  • Bison B Bison

  • This is some of the most creative metal I've heard in a long time, its up there with son of aurelius and wretched (:

  • Holy shit, fucking sick!

  • kick ass tunes and I like the Gieger styled album cover as well.

  • Is that artwork from Zdzislaw Beksinski?! Love it.

  • @deathguitarist2010 I am familiar with all of them. Blut Aus Nord is the only one I like, but certainly not Axis. Ultima Thulee and both of the Memoria Vetusta albums are better than anything else they've put out to me. And I recognize the uniqueness of Gorguts but it's most definitely not for me.

  • @mamaloney1 fair enough, agree to disagree. I suppose it comes down to my thought that one shouldnt play 2 notes when 1 would do. Similar to the Brahms quote that, "it is not hard to compose, but what is fabulously hard is to leave the superfluous notes under the table"

  • @Kuolleille I find that this is right up there with Paracletus in emotional impact, and it's one of the most epic albums that I have heard in a long time.

  • @Kuolleille @Kuolleille i agree completely with your perspective, try carbonized - silent journey, blut aus nord - axis, pan.thy.monium - the battle of geeheeb, gorguts - the whole obscura album. i'd imagine you're probably familiar with these bands but if not then don't miss out on them!

  • @mamaloney1 because aside from the technical aspect there's literally nothing in it to hold my interest, nor is there any reason for me to come back to it. It doesnt have any emotional impact on me, it doesnt take me on any sort of journey, it doesnt have any subtlety/depth... In fact it just has very little of what I look for in music. I'd rather listen to a band as technical as any tech death band, but actually engages me mentally or emotionally as well, like Deathspell Omega.
