.....FUCK LIL WAYNE......[MR. SHADOW IS THE DEFINITION OF WEST COAST MUSIC] I DO NOT OWN THE RIGHTS TO THESE SONGS, ALL RIGHTS GO TO THE ARTISTSPRODUCERS AND RECORD LABELS.
----------------------------------------
Mr. Shadow is among the dopest to ever put it down on the West Coast. As is the case with all rappers who aren't black, he never got the props he deserved. What separates Mr. Shadow from the rest of the lot, is that unlike most Chicano rappers, he actually has skills and great production. Decline in his popularity is still unclear to me, but his lyricism is still as incredible as ever. Shadow is from San Diego, CA and represents an era of Chicano rap (1993 to early 2000s) that was the breeding grounds for some of the most classic and iconic Chicano figures with local San Diego legends who shaped the early days of Chicano or Diego Town Rap such as the Aztec Tribe, The Knightowl, Mr. Lil One, GPA and the highly praised Lil Rob. Not only did he perform alongside the people mentioned above but he has also rapped alongside mainstream legends such as KURUPT. In his early days, Mr. Shadow was rapping over some of the dopest G-Funk beats ever put together by San Diego's own VMF (Vicious Man Funk). His style is consistent and always on point, his delivery always having rapid tongue twisters easily executed and smoothly rapping at a steady pace and then speeding it up. Check it out for yourself!

@TillDeathDoUsPart661 Fact is Chicano rap fell off after 2001. There is still a good song here and there but the mid and late 90 were the best

Kid Frost and all them other dudes from LA were not representing for Chicanos, they were concerened with "Latino Rap", it wasn't until Knightowl who established the underground rap scene later to be called Chicano Rap
