This Blender particle animation shows how wind affects particle (2.46) grass, and how balls using the physics engine and collision will leave trails in the grass.

  • brilliant animations. im new to blender... how does the grass move? once again. well done completely.

  • Thanks a lot. The grass moves by using a 'wind' force. You have to make the grass a softbody, create an empty and make the empty a wind force. Google it and you should be rewarded.

    Thanks again.

    God Bless

  • good job :D I like it! Did you use a tutorial? I need to know how to do that!

  • Not really. I followed Super3Boy's grass tutorial and his physics (dominoes) tutorial and kind of mixed them together. Tell me if you need any help.

    Thanks for the nice comment!

    God Bless

  • Funny. The grass looks like the fake plastic grass that they sell. Nice though.
