Air Transat to Cancun Mexico - Air Bus A310 [HD]

Drive 6 hours through the Canadian Rocky's in the winter to Calgary, board the Air Transat Air Bus A310 and we were told that there were favorable tail winds which would have us in Cancun 1 hour quicker. The flying time was under 5 hours for more than 4,000 km. Very smooth with northern US covered in clouds and the southern half basking in sunshine.

@ThreadyCash2274 Yes but it starts the end of Dec to the end of April I think. And generally, it's more expensive that other departures. So even with the drive/fuel & overnight in Calgary both ends, we save money & got to more of our country!

This may sound like a silly question, but you are sitting on the right side of the aircraft - right? we're taking Air Transat from Edmonton next weekend - our first time to the Mayan Riviera. Is the right side better for videoing on the way down to Cancun?

Westjet. pffft, should be called east jet. Why would anyone in western canada fly west jet to the mayan or carribean when AT takes direct flights that dont include stopping in toronto for 2 hours. I feel liike im on a holiday with AT. Westjet vacations bite.

@JCVdude Yeah I believe AT configures their A310s as 3-3-3 instead of 2-4-2 ... not really a fault of the plane itself. I loved flying on the A310 - had a couple trips on them when Wardair owned a couple. I think most of that fleet was bought by the Canadian government and converted to VIP and military transport planes.
