I fly my piper cub again, but this time, in a different forest preserve than usual. About halfway through the flight, I notice my Tx battery power is low, but figure it'll hold out until I land. I was wrong. The cub all of a sudden nosedives down into the ground and I lose all control. Fortunately, the cub didn't sustain any serious damage (nothing a little hot glue couldn't fix). However, I didn't fly planes at all again for another 2 years, partly because the idea of losing the plane at random frightened me. Hence the title "an end of an era."
@joehandsome99 Yeah, it's been nearly 2 years since this flight. I forgot how fun it was to fly.

Ouch.
Glad to see yours again.
I need to blow the dust off mine and get it in the air.
Has it been 2 years?
Thumbs Up on the flight ~ Eric
