Sometimes we tend to see the past as this horrid thing that happened to us in our childhood, and we are reacting to, and sometimes it cripples us, incapacitates us and makes us feel helpless.

I often see that people are the inheritors of a family pattern that was handed down from generation to generation. Not just child abuse but alcoholism, drug abuse, domestic violence.

A lot of things that makes us miserable in families and affect our lives in a very strong way began as a family culture that is generational.
