they were no doubt thats this band was great in the day

Saw them open for Seger and then Petty around the mid-80s. Did a great cover of Chuck Berry's School Days with either Dan or Rick really trilling the 'r' on "Drrrrrrrrrop the coin right into the slot .." And all their great original material live.
Next time I saw them it was 89 or 90 just before Dan left the band and they were touring for "Salvation and Sin." You could tell they were burning out .. but the album itself is really good. Like G 'n' R, The Band, Rod Stewart rolled in one.

Great Band! It's too bad they never rose to the level of fame as(fellow Georgians) the Black Crowes.

@sladerecords - You obviously aren't familiar with their HUGE catalog of origianl music. They have a ton of great songs- some much better than this, though "Myth of love" is still a great song as well.

Good while they lasted

maybe its because its hard to find an audience for a country blues/rock band which has the hair metal look
-
Great Q.
I would think its the same reason a lot of great bands don't get recognized- Because some record company banned them, or they banned the record company.

There AWESOME!!! RICK RICHARDS IS THE SHIT

I got a different live version of this one. Might be rare, I dunno. It was one song from a 4-track E.P that came free with a rock mag years ago.
Why wasn't this band bigger? They're just as good as The Black Crowes and Guns 'N' Roses.

Fantastic song. You can't go wrong with the Georgia Satellites. One of best real true rock n' roll bands ever.
