http://www.DefeatLargerAttackers - This is a golden martial arts lesson for self defense against multiple attackers such as a street gang fight. The best technique against multiple attackers in self defense sometimes comes from this surprise move.

  • Just make sure you slow down or you will just start rolling

  • @tseals215 - Good advice. Actually, you're going to roll regardless but this was hard to demonstrate on this self defense video with the space available. That's ok to roll though because he's not going to be able to get over you anyway if you time it right and you can disperse some of the force to avoid injury.

  • How about a sudden elbow to the ribs or a back fist to his face? Surely that will work better...

  • @MartialArtist924 - A backfist would work well (elbow may be too close) but I'd prefer it only if the other attackers were within a distance where they wouldn't trip over you, but instead be close enough to stomp on your after you take out their homie. In this situation, time it to shift your body to the side sharply while swinging behind you. Still, I'd prefer this "sneak attack" of dropping down because will give you a lot more follow up attack options and you'll avoid tackle.

  • And if he kicks your head?

  • @underglow60 - When you drop down, cover your head as you roll. There's no way to know where his size 11 Timberlands are going to impact you and if they do hit your head, you could be knocked out. As you drop, try to cover your head in a way that still gives you control of your roll but also protects your most vulnerable spots.

  • are u joking what stupid way to get stomped

  • i dont think thats a smart move because you cant judge how close he is. so if he is not as close as u think ur now on the ground waiting to get booted in the head and jumped by the rest of them. I think you should run for a bit, isolate the fastest ones turn around and attack their vital points, eyes, nuts, throat etc

  • @MartialArtist924 I agree. Or a rockaway rear kick... Or a quick move to the side... Or turn to face him and move to the side as you kick his stomache... ANYTHING but what he just did. Now he has all his buddies kickin' the shit out of him. Falling down in a fetal position is what you do to escape a nightmare when you're asleep. NOT when you're awake!

  • What if they jump over you? Lol

  • To start out in a fight I would advice just starting out in the ball on the ground and hope they just run out of breath kicking the shit out of you. So there is no running involved.

  • nah, i like taking everyone out better.

  • I wouldn't advise that unless your a Ninja... HELLO!

  • No 1 tip.Train to run faster.Tip No 2 Train to run faster.

  • LOL, drop down in the fetal position. Ridiculous.

  • Good advice. Although is there another way? Maybe different scenarios where your attacker manages to grab you and puts your arm behind your back in a pressure point control? My initial idea was to use my forearms to hit my multiple attackers.

  • I don't like the idea of slowing down the dynamics of a fight when you're trying to flee. I would prefer a sudden roll on a side and changing the running direction. If you started to flee it is most likely because you do'nt want to fight. Therefore it is not coherent to run, stop and fight (it seems even stupid since opposite to our initial will).

To the haters though: if you keep your body soft you won't get knocked out when you fall on the floor. The main problem comes from other attackers.
