The usual train rides (the Seibu-Ikebukuro Line from Hibarigaoka to Ikebukuro & the Yamanote Line from Ikebukuro to Gotanda), and then some time wandering around Gotanda, before descending to the subway and a train to the next stage of the day....

It's like a time capsule for me too. That material was almost lost to time, by the way. I put the tape in boxes after taking it, and it sat in the back of closets for 17 years before my finances and computer technology got to the point where I could digitize it. Most of the material played back (on a new deck), but not some tapes. I think I caught it just before the tapes degenerated too much to be played back. American music & movies - definitely a big influence! When were you here? - LHS

Again - a great video. This is a great time capsule, taken just before the Internet or cell phones. I wish I could go back.
The music in the shop sounds like something from America. I'm going to guess American music is a big influence.

Re: "My PC is dying!"
If you are having trouble with your computer, you might look into trying Linux. You can install Linux instead of MS-W, either with Linux being the only OS, or as a dual-boot with another OS.
For an older computer, try:
PuppyLinux
For a computer with fairly decent specs (machine built in the last three or four years), Ubuntu is good.

People didn't usually mind other people taking pictures in 1991. In fact, Japan may be be (or was then in any case) the easiest country to take pictures in, since most people here like taking pictures themselves. Nevertheless, I did try not to get right into people's faces. Like in the store and the people going into the restaurant - you can only see their backs and (from the rear) profiles. I try to be more careful these days.... - LHS

That's a nice view of your daily routine. Thanks for sharing =)
btw, don't the people mind you're filming them? Personally I'd chase the camera man down the street and steal the tape =D
