On Tuesday, July 5, 2011, Senator Ron Wyden spoke on the Senate floor about the need for stronger enforcement of U.S. trade laws, highlighting the weaknesses that are undercutting America workers, companies and jobs.
In May 2011, a bipartisan group of U.S. Senators have introduced legislation to create the discipline necessary at Customs and Border Protection to combat trade cheats and provide a fair playing field for U.S. manufacturers. Sen Wyden, Thanks for bringing this to attention.
I remember one heated argument between Senator Obama and Senator Clinton during the primaries. They argued as to who would revisit NAFTA, and our foreign trade agreements, the soonest if elected. Well Obama is now president and Hillary is now Sec. of State .... and not a word.
