I am all for being clean and sustainable. But this global warming crap is just a hoax by the elite to tax the middle class heavily and suppress development in developing nations.

Why there is so much media coverage on this warming crap, and nothing about how big corp pollutes the environment and how the waste came from your iPhones contribute to deformed babies?

Oh well, this is just another hoax like Y2K, and the public will be conned once again. The public cannot be saved, and should not be.

@robzed2 The issue here with the "conspiracy" thing is that the data used for the climate models and charts are unaudited. No Wall Street investor knows about the inner workings of PepsiCo and Rolls-Royce plc, yet they all invest with confidence in their companies? Why? Because the financial statements are audited and transparent. Academia and politics however are unaudited, and irrational responses are a natural consequence of the unregulated environment.

The problem with Global warming discussions is that the problem is multi-step, non-linear, with feedback and requires understanding of maths and physics, and rules of evidence.

Therefore 99.9% of the population are not capable of understanding it for themselves, and simply look for people who they can trust to "believe".

Enter the conmen, confidence tricksters and false beliefs.

If you're told that "physics/science is wrong", and "there's a conspiracy", you know for sure you're being conned.

There IS climate change. The question is whether human contributes to it or not.

If humans do not contribute to it, then we are wasting valuable time and resource in solving the wrong problem.

What I see, again, is that the elites use this excuse to tax the public to loot the wealth, and when the problem from climate change DOES happen as claimed, you will still be screwed because you tackled the wrong problem, while the elites who knew better have prepared themselves

@AllOtherNamesTaken2 actually you - and every single person - receive global warming related information only through the media. so you just said what you watch in the tv or read in the news is the truth. dude, better go and read some topic related books and build up your own verdict. anyways the weather is always changing and the fact that those ppl havent seen such a thing earlier only verifies that human lifespan is way too tiny according to the nature, and that we forget very fast.

@lastmondaypast1 I can't believe people are still arguing about this nonsense. One doesn't even have to know anything about science to be able to know something about global warming now; everywhere I've been or had friends go in the past year, people have been complaining about freak weather that has never happened before, and the past decade has been the hottest on record. You're not better than a child who refuses to accept a truth because of it's inconvenience if you can't see it.
