Does this mean that Kermode doesn't like Deliverance or Point Blank? He'd better, 'cos they're two of the greatest films ever and everything.

@terratrema He likes Boormans early films like Deliverance and Point blank. But exosist 2 is the film he thinks is the worst movie ever made. He has admited recently this is the reason he had a of of hate towards Boorman. There is a youtube clip he made about his feelings towards Boorman somewhere.

I can't believe George Lucas would even call Episode 3 Titanic in space. Flash back to the set of making Phantom menace where he was bitching about Titanic and how another director was making more money than him. Titanic was far more interesting than anything that happened in any of the three prequels.

@terratrema Deliverance is great. Point Blank is one of those very typical late 60s pretentious films with fancy intercutting and irritating and unnecessary zoom shots and without much to say (although Marvin rocks).

Boorman sucks but The General is quite good. If only for Brendan Gleeson.

I think The Phantom Menace was the real Titanic, except with TItanic there were a few survivors...
