In April, 2009 Matt Ginella, Senior Travel Editor of Golf Digest, went to French Lick, Ind. to report a story on the new Pete Dye golf course at the French Lick Resort. He met Gary Holland, Larry Bird's high school basketball coach in 1974, the year Bird was a senior. Holland is now mowing fairways in French Lick, and Ginella interviewed him about what it was like to lead a legend. This is a video of the highlights of their conversation in the house that Bird built--the Springs Valley High School gym--where Bird averaged 30 points (and 20 rebounds) his senior year--and that was before there was a three-point line. For the complete story on the new golf course, the resort and what to do when you're in town, go to: golfdigest.com/courses/2009/07/awaygame_frenchlickindiana
