I took this game for 3DS.

Never played a Tales game, never informed about it. I just felt like I had to buy it.

Now I can say that this was the best game I have played in the past years.

Awesome storyline, characters, feelings... there is everything a gdr... no, a videogame should have.

They either need to make a Sequal to this game or some how add the Outfit he wears in the ending as a title into the 3DS version (like DLC or something)

And then the most important part; the way he wears his sword. Asch was right-handed. Luke is left-handed. Asch had a classic side sheath, while Luke wore his horizontally on his back. That's more than enough to show that the mind inside the body must belong to Luke. And that's the end of my analysis lol.

And then we have Luke himself; just look at him. While the Japanese version of the game had a voice that was a perfect blend between Luke's and Asch's voices (which makes me believe more that it's just Luke in Asch's body), we have his indicative hair style, his manner of speaking (like I mentioned before).

And then we have Jade, who expresses a smile, something rare for him to do in a genuine manner. He expresses a very quick moment of surprise, and then shows a solemn smile, but not in a sad manner. The way his face looks during that smile gives off that... corrected vibe. As in, things didn't go the way he thought they would, but he's happy about it. He was proven wrong, and he's glad he was. He's glad that Luke was able to prove him wrong again, like he had hoped Luke would.

Also, when Tear is crying, right before the scene shifts to the other characters, it shows her express a very faint smile. It's hard to see, but the smile is definitely there. She would not smile if it was Asch, nor do I think she would even be crying if she thought it wasn't Luke. Also, if it really was Asch, Natalia probably would've scooted right up beside Tear to confirm it herself almost immediately.

Also, just notice what is said, the reactions of the characters, and the way the new Luke looks. Guy says "He said he would come back", and while that doesn't mean it'll magically happen, it's still a reiteration. Also, Asch would never say something like "This place has a nice view of Hod." That's not Asch-like at all. The part about the promise IS ambiguous, though. It could be referencing Asch's promise to Luke about coming back, but I believe it's really Luke's promise to Tear.

I just beat this game yesterday, and I have to say that that has to be Luke. Because Luke's body was disappearing and Asch was dead, Lorelei may have just transferred Luke's spirit into Asch's body, which probably would've been impossible if Luke wasn't a perfect replica. Think of it as a reverse contamination effect; because Luke was a perfect replica and had exceeded his original, Asch was absorbed instead, or rather Luke became the "original".

For people who are saying it could be either Luke or Asch, notice how the sword on his back is carried, that's how Luke always carried his sword.
