The first time I heard this tune was 30 years ago. It has not lost any of its magic. I spent 3 days calling the National Broadcasting Service, trying to track down the name of the artist and the tune, as I had never heard of Keith Jarrett.
Since that time Keith Jarrett's music has always had a special meaning to me.
As long as there are people who are touched deeply by this music, I am able to mobilize some optimism as to where this world is heading.
Thank you more than you know, Keith Jarrett

I first heard this in a coffee shop, I was so mesmerized by this I ran out of the coffee shop down the street and bought this album. It sustained me through college and beyond. This album brought me to a whole new world of music on ECM Records. yes the feeling you get from this whole side of the record was indescribable. I listened to this a lot when it rained outside. It was perfect and still is.

Good but not as good as the 1973 album Bremen Lausanne (Time Mags Jazz Album of the Year) - that album was on fire and is probably his best with its large amount of ideas and technical brilliance, or Koln which has its moments imo.

Absolutly wonderful! you made my day! I was looking for this music over and over, forgot the name of the album, just had an old tape, and thanks to amazon where I was able to listen to the very beginning I found the name and here it is. This is a "must buy" to me and it lets my heart vibrate like the wings of a colibri :-)

The LP era of KJ's solo piano albums are the finest music ever recorded. Bremen, Concerts, Facing You, Koln, Sun Bear, Staircase... such incredible talent and music.
I remember this tune and falling in love with it in my late teens. I haven't heard it in YEARS. But that's OK - coming back to it is such an incredibly wonderful treat. I don't cry to music really, but if I did, this tune would be the one that would reduce me to a blubbering idiot. The beauty it encapsulates is beyond description. I am so glad KJ sat down and they turned on the tape deck. They captured a moment in time for eternity. If you can't tell, I have WONDERFUL memories of this tune!

Thank-you doesn't even begin to say how I feel about your posting. Many years ago, I lost this very album. I didn't think, I would ever hear this favorite of mine.
Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you :-)
