  • I blame Microsoft and the general trend of trying to make computers 'easy'. Non-technical people come to regard the machine as something unfathomably complex, even arcane, and the complex GUIs obfuscate the true operations of the computer even further. When the people can't see the logic, they can't understand the machine. People fear what they don't understand, it's a biological survival trait.

    We'd need to teach computer science in primary and high school to get rid of the problem.

I mean take cars, they have existed for YEARS now its your own fault for not taking up a short course and learning about the existing technology. Don't blame anyone else for your car dying.

    pcs ARE easy to use, people use the selling points apple is easy to use...wtf?? easy compared to what?? a rock and stick? If you're too dumb to learn give up.life is way harder

  • Now i know what Tech Support does when you called them for help. The "HOLD" button is there best friend, sounds stupid isn't it. They always put the customer on hold, sometimes they annoy us with a bunch of questions, that doesn't help our queries.

  • i worked tech support for a software company whos policy was to help with annnnny problems the caller had with their computer even if it wasnt remotely related to the software(which was aimed mostly toward the elderly and incompetent apparently). so im on a one hour training call session which they offered to new buyers and 2 hours later we had to connect to his computer to install and open the software. seriously if you are that incompetent DO NOT EVEN BUY A FUCKING COMPUTER.
