Tonight, we walked out on a Floyd 'tribute' band called The Flesh. They were very loud but not very good IMHO. It made me realise how original Pink Floyd are and how much care/innovation they have put into live sound production over the years. Pink Floyd is a heritage, not just something to be ripped off by some twats with black Fender Strats and white pickups!

@simoncroft PINK FLOYD is unique, no matter who try to sound like them, they were in the exactly moment and on the rigth place; Just like THE BEATLES.
no one NEVER will sound like them!!
not even in this tribute!!!

@electrotipo Up until two weeks ago I would have agreed with both of you. Then I saw "The Australian Pink Floyd Show". They are quite good and even have the visual effects and stage presence to boot. Floyd used to be my absolute #1 and now is a very, very close #2 as I recently discovered the true depths of Jethro Tull. I do have to say, its so sad because Ian's voice would have blown this track out of the park in his heyday. Just saw him a couple months ago, he is still awesome :)
