  • @andyjwwalker78 its a bank of capacitors set up to dump its energy through a metallic victim on the contacts you see in the video. the caps are charged then the charge dumped when a button is pushed

    About 200 joules per cap times 160 caps in the bank.

    so about 32K joules.

  • At 3:06 I said ouch.

    It was because the test object that was placed near the arc fell off the table and broke.

    (I was rather upset about that)
