@ultimadriver not trying to spark an argument or anything, but the idea of phys x was to use a separate card to run physics, and CUDA isnt even for games... CUDA is Nvidias parallel computing, dont ask me how it works, but it increases the performance of programs like 3d modeling software and video rendering for the Quadro and Tesla cards, it doesnt do much from a GTX card, only slightly helps, + you can up 8 quadro cards, as far as gaming goes, AMD IS great, that guy is just a retarded fanboy
@ultimadriver CUDA works for things like folding, which ATi cards absolutely suck at. Also, the 570 edges the 6970 in DX10 titles, and completely dominates it in DX11 titles (ATi still fails at tesselation). Not to mention that the 570 can overclock MUCH better. due to voltage control, and far superior cooling. Really, the current gen nvidia cards beat the 6000 series in every way. Just like the GTX400 series did to the 5000 series (especially in Directx 11 and price/performance).
@Droogie128@Droogie128 i have newer had any problems whit amd's drivers an the 6970 beats the 570 and cuda and physx is not supported on many games and physx is not the only physics program
and who needs the preformens thats 580 is offering
@ultimadriver Sure they do. The 6970 gets beat by the GTX570, and get's absolutely decimated by the 580 (sad considering it's their flagship single gpu card). No CUDA, no PhysX. Not to mention that their drivers are a travesty.
