  • If I kept all my G.I. Joes from the 70's, I would be a millionare today. I had them all. But I played with them to death. I even had a bionic G.I. Joe, his name was Mike Powers.

  • I bought alot of that stuff new, off the toy shelf in the 70's........dang!!! I need to keep working on my time machine.

  • That is very cool! I was busy in Viet Nam when this commercial and the Adventure Team Joes came out--sorry I missed them, but I've been making up for it with my current Joe collection! Thanks for posting this! What a great toy Joe is!

  • My wish would be to have everything on the shelves in this commercial!!

  • Thanks for the this, I digged the Adventure sets but man, wtf with the tiny shark and..Pygmy Gorilla!?!"

  • @supersugarcrisp I agree with you. I grew up playing with my Dad's and Uncle's old G.I. Joe stuff from the 60s and 70s. Toys were much more awesome back then. And cheaper too!

  • man, i wish i was born in the 1970's... i have to get g.i. joe adventure team sets on ebay for about $200.00. my dad's favorite set was white tiger hunt. cool vid!!!

  • @AgentJuly19903 Then why on earth are you commenting on a video you don't even like. Find a better use for your time.

  • Poor GI Joe can't see a thing through the binoculars at 19 secs -- they are solid plastic. I like the cool gorilla at about 11 secs, wouldn't mind seeing him in a cage fight with Joe.

I also like the fact that the kids are actually moving the figures around by hand, as opposed to later advertising which implies that toys do things on their own without human intervention.

  • Devil of the deep was the first Joe playset I had. 1975. By 1977 most of it was missing or broken:(
