  • Thanks for the great video production. Have you been to Jakarta? I understand the inventor of Tiger Balm was Hokka and started his business there.

  • @marksmall1 You're welcome, Mark. I love making these videos although I haven't posted a new one in a few months. I didn't know about the Tiger Balm history, and I find that fascinating. If I ever travel to Jakarta, I'll keep that in mind -- til now, I've only been to Bali (a wonderful and mysterious island).

  • My wife said that your mandarin is pretty good. When did you move to China? We are living in Greenville for about 4 years now. I am jealous of your mandarin dude!! good job.

  • @Octo777 Thanks! I moved to China in 2005 and it took about a year just to be able to hear and imitate the four tones. Ask your wife if she's seen the TV series "WoJu" or "DuLaLa's Promotion." She'll know me from those.

  • I love learning about other cultures. Thanks for this vid!

  • You're welcome. I love discovering places in China that so many of us haven't heard about before.

  • that dish looks horrible...-_-...

  • You're welcome. Thanks for watching!

  • You're welcome! Now I'm filming a weekly show on Shanghai's local English channel, so I'm having little time to post more here. I will tweet the shows as their posted on the TV station's web site, however!

  • Yeah, I didn't film the ride there. :) Interestingly enough, a couple of months later, after I returned to Shanghai, I was asked to be a travel host on 1 of their shows in the same place in Fujian! So I went back for 5 more days to film a longer show (which ended up winning 2nd place in a CCTV competition & aired on CCTV4).
