So a sinker doesn't have illusion? Thanks Mr Wizard!

@bullshit3118 how can you have something that doesn't exist. If it did how come daisuke doesn't use it and has a 4.25 career ERA in the MLB. The gyro would surely dominate the majors, I remember when I first saw a curveball, it threw me off for so long
-
it is actually the shuuto pitch not a gyro
-
it does exisit but that was a curveball

Anything not made in America must be non-existent. I think that the real meaning behind the "debate" about this pitch. America is the biggest thief and parasite in the entire world. The Romans were the same. Get a few American assholes together and they hit a ball around with a stick and they think they "invented" it. Hell, the fucking wheel must have been invented in America. Let the Japanese have their gyroball and shut the fuck up about it already.

Here in Boston we like to call it a "meatball"

@JaronHamil what does that have to do with this video?
The pitch does exist, but it is of no use in baseball. The gyroball is spinning like a football along the axis where the ball is mocing. This does almost nothing to a baseball. It's a nothing pitch. However, the pitch is effective after it bounces off the ground, known as "googely" in cricket. The only reason this pitch would get a batter out is if the rotation of the ball were to fool the batter to believing it was going to curve. Hence, pitchers can get outs with this 'nothing pitch'

The pitch is really not supposed to have a defined movement, it is basically an illusion the ball appears to the batter that it is coming straight like a fastball and but is actually dropping off... Like a sinker, but with illusion!
