I remember when I went over my friends house when I was just a kid oh so long ago. He owned a Genesis, along with a copy of this game. Everytime I went over his house I played this and Sonic 3 to death (Although he hated this game unfortunately :( )

cntd: and guys if you're all intersted, a good m8s doing a web comic of the games and that will be out sometime and she's a great artist (kohakuchan19), if we can get more people to animate sparkster and do stuff again hopefully konami will start to realise there is a big fanbase for this (which is scattered but through this we might get some of it back).

I started a petition to remake rka1 last year, a lot of people are on board, I'll pm you the link if you're interested, I really hope konami sees what its fans are trying to do, I started animating sparkster last year when he came back, a m8s doing fan game, might be possible death battle vid between him and arthur from ghouls and ghosts if it happens, if more of us try and do something it may get konamis attention, after rocket knight I'm worried that could be it :( .

@wesker100000000 Exactly! The new Rocket Knight is okay but when I first heard about it, I was expecting an amazing remake of Rocket Knight Adventures. Climax Studios did their best but only Konami can bring Sparkster back the way we'd expect! If it was 2D but all hand-draw of course in HD, I would have gone mad for it! That's what I was expecting!

cntd: and it would finally get sparkster the attention him and this series sorely deserved, it's about time someone else started challenging mario and I don't mean sonic, hell he'd be welcome in new smash bros next year on wii u but everyones giving Me crap and think it's a stupid decision or don't know who sparkster is, his movesets made for smash bros and seeing him and axel fight each other in an epic cutscene would be awesome (their oldschool versions not lastest ones), rk feels like spinoff

Konami needs to get treasure back and remake rocket knight adventures 1 and restart from there to Me, after looking at hardcorps that could've easily been rocket knight if it was in treasures hands (the original team that did first rocket knight adventures) and it's a real shame that konami seem to treat sparkster and this franchise as an afterthought most of the time, I'm glad he's back but he needs a real proper comeback, climax just aren't right for the job treasure are.

@bareirito The cartoon-like art-style of this game is one of many things that made this game so lovable to me. This game has so much charm, the sequels barely had any! They feel like generic platformers compared to this excellent game!

This soundtrack gust gives me nostalgia. Not only of RKA but many other games for the Sega Megadrive. All of the games I played, to be honest. The 8 and 16 bit era was truly the peak of gaming quality.

Aye :(, that's because the team who made first rka went to treasure and unfortutely the qualtiy went with them, and sparkster got 2 unecessary redesigns when he already kicked enough ass in his original one.

Konami need to remake the first one and show people why this series was so great in the first place and hopefully try and make a worthy successor to the first one from there and wipe the slate clean, rk should be a challenge not a cakewalk and bring back boss rushes.

I love this game so much, its epic feel, its cartoonish style. It's a shame they couldn't recreate this awesome feel in the sequels.

@afrojayjay Well, I grew up with it, so this is like nostalgia fever for me. And you are most certainly correct about the success based on its originality. I've only seen games from Treasure have a more creative spark to them. That's my opinion, though. :)

I have to disagree with you there.

Why is everyone so desperate to remake old games? Make a new game that isn't a rehash of something you liked please? One of the reasons Rocket Knight Adventures was good was because it was an original concept. If you want to pay homage, make an original game, not a remake.

Anyone who missed out on rocket knight adventures can just get an emulator and the ROM. That's what I did. I only discovered this game last month.

And if anyone likes My animated rocket knight adventures tributes stick around on My channel, the animation's been improved and mifune, younger sparkster and the rest are gonna be in, I'll eventually do to the end of the first game from a fans pov.

Back on topic I plan to animate this section (the pig capital) and rock em sock em robot battle as well.

The music in this level hell the whole game rocks and still holds up well today. rka1 ftw :).
