I totally agree with Ntm dancer and with lyoshafurdak,,,,,,priya is the best...she has her low moments..but shes the best....what you both say is so true...there are different types of rasikas..satvik, tamaisk and rajasik..only the satvik rasikas enjoy the satvikabhinaya that flows into the nritta aspect as well.. the other types must have more physical aspects to dance such as number crunching..lines..geometry..it also comes witth age..priya is the best and also see rama vaidyanathan..wow!!

I actually like the simplicity of this Thillana. This is the grace of Bharata Natyam- it is not about ten million movements in one minute or high legs, or pirouettes. It is about the soul. Look at her face- it is pure joy, Ananda! You can see this sincere joy only in children. And finally “Perfection is achieved not when there is nothing left to add, but when there is nothing left to take away” – Antoine de Saint-Exupery.
Priya is the best. Bharata Natyam rulles!

@eastexotic don't you think though at a certain point people aren't going to see dance to examine every technical detail but to be taken to another place? i think every dancer (or even artist) may have some sort of technical weaknesses, but the dancers that really last are the ones that have that little extra something that you cant really place. for some reason you really want to watch them....at that point dance goes beyond dance and then - its just really ART. :) just some thoughts.
