I don't know there was ever a player in Philadelphia sports history that was more loved and respected than Dawkins. I myself being being 22, grew up with Dawkins and he remains my favorite Eagle of all time. He always understood Philadelphia, and we always loved him for that. He gave everything he had, every single Sunday. He will never be forgotten and I'll tell you what, when he is inducted into the Hall of Fame, I will be there at Canton, Ohio for him when he is inducted.
