  • What size tower was used in this application? Was it necessary to utilize a lattice construction tower, or could a guyed tower be used?

Also, what is the annual wind density in the area of the install here?

  • sorry for my late reply

Tower is 18 m. Either lattice or free standing tube, no experience with guyed masts,

A Gaia-Wind (due to it's large rotor diameter, 13 m for 11 kW rated power) produces well in moderate windspeeds. Typical windspeeds at installations are 4.5 till 6.5 m/s annual average.

  • Hallo

what is the price of this turbine with and without installation

    Thomaslit

  • Price of the turbine is around 45000 Euro incl install. However depending on transport cost and local situation this price might vary.

  • nice music - Would you be able to power a whole house out of one of these?

  • it's an 11 kW turbine and in moderate windspeeds it will generate from 20.000 to 40.000 kWh; enough to power 5 to 10 houses.

  • The newer Rooftop Mounted Turbines, save HALF the cost of a system and install by not using the towers. The towers are the most time consuming and costly, wasteful part of a small wind turbine system. Have a look at my videos and you'll see what I mean. Look at how much trouble and mess it is to install a tower. Look at it compared to my install video.

  • A RoofMill is much easier to install than these tower mounted systems. This is pretty good Europe system. Their power not correct for USA. If you want to see a really nice system from an American company for power spec in the USA, look at RoofMill or TowerMill, much easier install and correct to US power standards.

  • Nice to see my husband Jens in this video...!

  • I make those at my work place the turbine.

  • MADE IN DENMARK!

  • Not true, my usage last month was 3500kw or 42,000kw per year. So this wouldn't power my 1 house.

  • I'm not here to flame I'm here to bring reality to this industry so we can compare apples to apples, not apples to a dream.

Build your own and save big time.

  • 20,000 to 40,000 per year will not power 5 to 10 homes. It will power 1 to 2 and no more. 500kw per month is a bull shit estimate many wind companies like to use because it sells more systems to people who are to stupid to look at their bill and see they consume much more then that. In reality most home consumption is between 1500 and 3500kw per month which is 18,000 to 42,000 per year. My business consumes 17,000kw per month and averages 204,000kw per year.
