@samyboy25niner the russian big muff is more smoother and more responsive to low ends
-
wat the diffrence between normal big muff and russian one?
-
@Gizuco Naw, Chris uses a BOSS OC-2 to bring everything an octave down. Therefore what he plays on the 9th fret, 3rd string sounds like what you play on the 2nd fret, 2nd string, but with a very different tone.

Amazing! i love this song...
keep rocking...
by the way, take a look at my covers too
cheers!
-
that sound terribly wrong... ! you want to have in on mid volume with full tone and full sustain. with bass boost on.. this is a very bassy song...... and all fairness this could just be a old vid
-
yea more sustain :P
otherwise, awesum!!

Chris uses an octave pedal for it, so everything he plays sounds 1 octave lower
I have a Big Muff Pi, but it doesn't sound quite right. There is far too much 'Muff' if you know what I mean. Would using a Bass Big Muff sound closer?

yes, I understand.
The Bass Big Muff has the "only Muff" mode and the "Bass Muff", but believe me, both sounds good only for bass, so I think it's the same for your guitar version.
It's a matter of frequencies and with my guitars you have the Muff/fuzz sound only in the lower and in the high end, while you should have in the middle, baybe it's the opposite with your Pedal and bass.

Great video?. Can you tell me if you play like Chris?. i mean, in bass. I saw a video that he start playing in the 9th fret, 3rd string.

No I play it on 2nd fret, 2nd string. Maibe it's because I use flatwound strings so they are a bit smoother but also with a little thinner sound on higher strings and frets. Anyway.. That's it :D
