I spied these cabbage catepillars on a young kale plant in my vegetable garden. They were so perfectly camouflaged that it was almost impossible to see them. I thought the kale leaf had bumpy deformities on them, but a closer inspection revealed these ravenous garden insects! Gingerly I peeled them off the leaf one by one and since they seemed tame and harmless, I decided to play with them and organize a race...
