ntroduction by: Joseph Romm, Senior Fellow, Center for American Progress Featured Speakers: Governor Ed Rendell (D - PA) Thomas Friedman, columnist, New York Times; author, Hot, Flat, and Crowded: Why We Need a Green Revolution -- and How It Can Renew America Carol Browner, Principal, The Albright Group LLC Moderated by: Bracken Hendricks, Senior Fellow, Center for American Progress At a time of fiscal belt tightening, when some would put environmental priorities on the back burner, there are many who believe that investing in a green economy now is the best way to achieve both short and long term economic solutions. A recent paper by the Center for American Progress and the University of Massachusetts Political Economy Research Institute, "Green Recovery: A Program to Create Good Jobs and Start Building a Low Carbon Economy," finds that to promote economic mobility, growth, job creation, and regain technological leadership in the global innovation marketplace, we must fundamentally change how we produce and consume energy in this country and transform our economy to a low-carbon model. Investing in clean energy and efficiency will enable the United States to regain technological leadership in the global innovation marketplace, grow our economy, reduce global warming emissions, and invest in national security. Please join the Center for American Progress and three of the country's leading advocates for investments in a green economy for a discussion on how each step of an economic recovery package (stabilization, stimulus, recovery, and growth) can be greened, and explore both national and state perspectives on policy solutions towards transforming our economy to a low-carbon model.

@jiminiflix
How stupid do you think we are? Take your snake oil somewhere else.
Edit: "I was told to watch out for the terms "free energy" and "suppressed" when reading copy about a supposed energy source because they're common keywords in pathological science."

@DaFuckyouat Well I did not say anything about a perpetual motion machine. I bet once though no one believed man could talk to a man on the other side of the planet. It is possible to make energy at over unity. If you don't understand that you are a shit for brains as you sound.

@jiminiflix "Conventional physics says that it is "impossible" for (permanent )magnets to provide a primary energy source". Are you peddling another perpetual motion machine? I was told to watch out the "free energy" in conjunction with "suppressed" energy source because it's a common keyword in pathological science.

@DaFuckyouat No fuel is needed, its a magnet engine. The magnets have a life of over a hundred years.

@jiminiflix They aren't promoting it because it isn't a real source of energy . There's no such thing as a source of energy that runs on "nothing".

All the technology exists now to fix these issues- ask the corrupt in industry that have killed the inventors and stolen their ideas. Any invention that is a threat to 'being on the grid' has been shot down. A generator designed here in australia th esize of a microwave oven runs on nothing and runs continuously can power a home more than it needs in power. WHy isn't that in th emedia and promoted globally? We know why don't we!

What must an apologist for warcrimes, like Friedman, do to stop being given a podium for selfpromotion? Is there no other multimillionaire with such an ego who has answers for today's problems without blood on his hands and not on the AIPAC rolodex?
