I saw your tractor in the Tractor and Machinery magazine. Where did you find the donkey engine? It did not look like there was one fitted when you unloaded the tractor. I have to replace the front axle on my R. The one fitted is worn out at the trunnion pin and is beyond repair....

Good work on the R. I have just got one from Canada. I think yours is in better condition. Don't worry about the donkey/pony motor issue. Technically JD call the starter a Cranking Engine.

donkey engine was recondishond but not fitted when i bought it i also had to replace front trunnion pin on front axle the diesel engine seems fine thank you where do ifind your site

they are called donkey engines in england not pony motors.motors run off electric and engines run off fuel.
