@IV1664 That was the part that ruined an otherwise ok joke, Steve Martin has no idea how to play Clouseau, he keeps overreacting and tries to make it too comical while Clouseau is supposed to be a real life incompetent and clumsy character, not a god damn cartoon character.

Whoever thought to make a remake of the Pink Panther needs to go to film school and learn to appreciate great films. Blake Edwards and Peter Sellers were geniuses! These remakes are an affront, not only to the original Pink Panther movies but also to Steve Martin. He was once VERY funny. Go and see The Jerk. A very good film by Steve Martikn. On the other hand, forget Steve Martin, see one of Mel Brooks earlier films and you will see how slapstick humor can be done very well.
