what is the difference about playstation 1 and psone isnt it the same

Technically, both can play Playstation 1 games, although some games lack comaptibility on the newer console, while newer games might not work quite right on the old model. The PSone had a different set of capabilities, primarily being portable when the screen is attached. It's kind of like comparing the PS2 to the PS2 slim, or the PS3 and PS3 slim.

@ForgetfulCollector What you been smoking? The psone was the playstation slimmed down, think maybe your console was broke? what made you think that? it played all playstation games.

@Gavin66627 The prime example I had was Blasto. It would play on any old-style PS1 we tried it on, but the new console would ask for a format disk. We even took the console back and got a replacement, but the problem persisted. There was nothing wrong with the disk, either. Also, how do you think they slimmed it down? They didn't just put it in a smaller case.

I remember playing a game a LONG time ago on the PSone I can't really remember but it was a fighting game, they're humans that can turn into animals but only for a while. Can someone tell me the name of it because I sold my PSone a long time ago I can't remember the name of any game I had for it except for frogger because you know... That's a computer game now.
