In Excel 2010 or Excel 2007, follow these steps to use an advanced filter to automatically copy data from a table, onto anther sheet in the workbook.

Watch this video to see how to set up a criteria area, and an extract area, and pull the top orders to a different sheet.

  • @OrderofMerchants and @CENTAURSARATOGA When you copy data to another sheet with the Excel Advanced Filter, the copied data is not linked to the original data.

If you update the original data, just run the Advanced Filter again, to send the revised data to the second sheet.

  • Thanks for uploading :) Appreciate it!

  • @OrderofMerchants I have the same challenge,did you find an answer ?

  • Thanks for the post! Had a quick question. I have linked two sheets using the advanced filter so that it shows up on sheet 2, but if I were to change any of the text on sheet one, it doesn't update on sheet 2. How do I get it to update? Also, how do I edit the filter? Thanks!

  • Thanks
